Hi, I am Tanya (in German Tanja), and I am a children’s book illustrator. From the text to the complete book, I design the book from the inside and the outside, work closely with the authors and help the text and the picture communicate with the little readers.
Drawing is my passion and since childhood I have never stopped drawing. In between, there were a BA and an MA in linguistics. My another passion is the Yiddish language and culture, and I am happy to be a field fellow of the Wexler Oral History Project at the Yiddish Book Center and to teach the language.
I was born in Moscow and live in a small town in Germany. I speak Russian, English, German and Yiddish.
I have a husband and two kids. As a nature lover, and enjoy it living just around the corner from a forest and hills to wander around.
